**About Laudato Si' Movement**
Laudato Si’ Movement serves the Catholic family worldwide to turn Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ encyclical letter into action for climate and ecological justice. Laudato Si’ Movement’s grassroots movement-building efforts draw on the combined gifts of nearly 800 member organizations and thousands of grassroots volunteers help bring the Laudato Si’ message to life.
**About the position**
Reporting to and in partnership with the Development Director, the Development Manager supports the execution of LSM’s fundraising strategy, including but not limited to major gifts, grant solicitation, online giving, etc. The position supports the Development Team to raise the funds needed to cover LSM’s annual operating budget as well as expenses tied to LSM’s Special Projects. The position identifies new funding opportunities and funding streams, as needed. The position collaborates with other teams at LSM to obtain the necessary information for grant reports and solicitations. The position oversees the tracking of donor conversations, gifts, etc., as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit new funders (grantors and major individual donors) as well as identify new funding streams
- Serve as the lead for LSM’s developing digital fundraising strategy
- Solicit new and, as needed, renew existing funders for support
- Produce reports for many new and existing grants
- Collaborate with other LSM teams to obtain pertinent information for solicitations and reports
- Track Moves Management, gifts, and donor communication in Salesforce
- Operates in accordance with fundraising ethics, best practices, and in accordance with IRS regulations and LSM’s gift acceptance policy
**Skills and Characteristics**
- Endorses and embodies LSM values and the Laudato Si’ paradigm in behavior and words; comfortable supporting and working in a faith-based environment.
- 3-5 years of grant writing experience
- Proficient in English-speaking and writing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent people-skills and capacity to establish and maintain relationships
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as in close coordination with a remote team across multiple time zones
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of integrity
**Salary**: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Type: Full-time position
