**YOUR TASKS**
- You devote 70% of the assignment to scientific research in the field of educational research. This also includes fundraising in this area.
- You provide assistance in the teaching of the department (at bachelor’s and master’s level) as responsible lecturer/co-lecturer for, among others, the course “Education and Professionalization in Diverse Contexts” (2nd year Bachelor in Educational Sciences). The further teaching assignment will be specified on the basis of your expertise on the one hand and the needs of the department on the other.
- You provide methodological support in educational research to fellow researchers within the department.
- You are also involved in internship supervision, doctoral supervision, and the supervision of master’s theses.
- You also act as examiner of master’s theses within the faculty.
- You contribute to the internal and external services of the department (e.g. exam invigilation, SID-ins, information days and weekends, involvement of and activities with field actors,).

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a PhD in Educational Sciences or in a related alpha discipline with demonstrable relevance for educational research.
- You are familiar with the methodological particularities of educational research.
- You have experience in conducting scientific and project-based research and in providing services.
- You have relevant scientific publications in international and national scientific journals with wide dissemination, in which submitted manuscripts are reviewed by experts (peer review).
- Experience with involvement in project acquisition and project coordination is considered an asset.
- You have experience with participation in continuing education, conferences, and so on.
- You have a strong interest in academic teaching.
- You possess good pedagogical-didactical skills for providing high-quality academic teaching and supervising students.
- You possess strong organizational, social, and communication skills.
- You possess excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English.

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- Even if you have already been appointed earlier (whether or not at another university and whether or not in the same field of discipline) in a first term of up to 3 years, you can apply. The second appointment does not have to be immediately connected to a first term.
- Your appointment will start on December 1 2025 at the earliest.
