VRT is op zoek naar een Business Intelligence expert om het Data & Intelligence team bij VRT te versterken.
Je bent vertrouwd met een data-omgeving en met het werken met en ondervragen van grote volumes aan data. Je bent een ervaren Power BI ontwikkelaar en gedreven door data analyse en data visualisatie. Je kan als geen ander dashboards ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en implementeren en ervoor zorgen dat deze op een duidelijke en eenvoudige manier te interpreteren zijn.
Als openbare omroep reageren we op de constante veranderingen en groei binnen het medialandschap. Data inzichten maken het mogelijk om enerzijds ons publiek beter te kennen maar anderzijds ook om het beleid en de beslissingen binnen VRT te ondersteunen.
Als BI expert maak je deel uit van het Data & Intelligence team. Je werkt nauw samen met de data analisten en analytics engineers in het team, alsook met al de VRT teams die nood hebben aan data inzichten en ondersteuning in data visualisatie.
Verwachtingen
In jouw rol als BI expert ondersteun je VRT in haar datagedreven werking. Je ontwikkelt en onderhoudt rapportages en dashboards. Je verzamelt en aggregeert data tot optimale datasets voor rapportages en analyses. Je bouwt mee aan een uitgebreide self-service omgeving. Je werkt nauw samen met de interne stakeholders om vereisten te begrijpen en te vertalen naar effectieve Power BI-oplossingen.
Je gebruikt hiervoor geavanceerde query’s en past data visualisatie technieken toe in een Big Data context. Je staat ook in voor de optimalisatie van data modellen en queries voor maximale performantie en schaalbaarheid. Af en toe train je ook VRT medewerkers in het effectieve gebruik van Power BI-tools.
Jouw profiel
Je hebt minstens een 2-tal jaar ervaring als BI Expert
Je hebt een doorgedreven kennis van SQL
Doorgedreven kennis ook van rapportering en hoe je data kan vertalen naar inzichten
Je hebt ervaring met werken met Business Intelligence tools, bij voorkeur Power BI
Kwaliteitsproblemen identificeren en terugkoppelen naar respectievelijke owners
Ervaring met het vertalen van business requirements naar data requirements
Je bent een goede communicator
Je bent een ervaren data storyteller, je weet hoe kwantitatieve inzichten te delen met behulp van duidelijk grafieken
Je deelt je kennis en coacht graag anderen om zelf query’s te maken
Sterk analytisch vermogen en aandacht voor detail
Je hebt zin voor initiatief en bent bijzonder ondernemend
Je bent een grondige, maar pragmatische teamspeler.
Goede kennis van NL
Kennis van Scrum en DevOps is een plus
Aanbod van VRT
Je krijgt een voltijds contract voor een freelance opdracht via tussenpersoon en dit voor 12 maanden. In onderling overleg is verlenging en tariefaanpassingen mogelijk (Max. 3 maal verlengbaar en tariefaanpassingen maximaal volgens de geldende agoria-index)
