- AI, Health and Life SciencesFor further development of our AI activities and roadmap, we are looking for a senior AI researcher who facilitates and leads research projects involving the use of AI in our Life Sciences and Health projects. This includes the growing role of AI in the hardware/software codesign of new sensor
- and chip-technologies as well as exploring relevant insights and AI models resulting from the data generated by them.
What you will do
- You will be responsible for directing the data science and AI aspects of research projects in the context of Life Sciences and Health.
- You follow up on progress within research projects and are able to communicate the accomplished / in-process work to internal and external stakeholders and adapt where needed.
- You work together with technical teams in implementing the data science and AI output of your projects into a working whole

Who you are
- You have a PhD, preferable in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- You have affinity with academic research, but also want to make a difference in today’s industrial and societal challenges.
- You have a strong background in AI and hands-on experience with machine learning projects.
- Prior experience with reinforcement learning, transfer learning, spiking neural networks or sensor fusion are a plus.
- Knowledge of process control for biochemical, chemical or pharmaceutical engineering is an advantage, particularly in the context of AI-driven optimization are a plus.
- You are a team player and have strong communication skills.
- Your English is fluent, both speaking and writing.
