**Role Title: Senior EU Affairs Advisor - EU Funds**:
The** **Senior EU Affairs Advisor conducts monitoring and policy/economic analysis in support of policy development or new policy creation, ensuring Group and/or Local market/s are aware of draft or current EU/government legislation and/or regulation that impacts Vodafone. They oversee (monitor and effectively influence) in particular all legislative and non-legislative procedures related to direct EU funds and their allocation.
They demonstrate strategic influence over a senior stakeholder network both outside (in particular in the European Commission, relevant financial institutions such as the EIB, EBRD,CEB and other promotional banks, relevant EP Committees) and within Vodafone, having impact beyond their immediate team. Recognised as an expert the Senior EU Affairs Advisor provides expert knowledge in the field of EU funding instruments and procedures that demonstrates a strong commercial awareness influencing the strategy and commercial imperatives of the business whilst minimising risk.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitors and gathers all relevant information from an early stage on all relevant legislative and non-legislative procedures;
- Influences all relevant legislative and non-legislative procedures related in particular to EU funding vehicles across the Vodafone footprint;
- Uses sound understanding of policy to effectively advise and assist the business supporting Vodafone’s thinking, strategy and action plan in this policy area;
- Provides high-quality analysis in support of Vodafone’s policy strategy;
- Uses evaluative judgment based on factual or qualitative information to deliver on policy areas;
- Demonstrates strong communication skills to influence, negotiate and work closely with other relevant policy/regulatory teams, influencing senior leaders both outside and across Vodafone on relevant policy.
- Provides counsel and advice on relevant experiences, best/worst practice and benchmarks;
- Uses strong commercial knowledge and policy awareness to positively prepare, propose and implement appropriate policy strategies and contribute to the commercial objectives of the business; #TogetherWeCan or #SpiritofVodafone #LI-Hybrid
