**Position: Lead Network Operations**:
**Location: Beerse, Belgium**

**Hybrid way of working**

The Lead Network Operations is supporting the overall delivery of network operations across all JNJ’s businesses within the region. It includes day-to-day oversight and technical vendor management of Network Managed Service Providers and key vendors in a follow-the-sun support model.

Additionally, the Lead Network Operations will support and manage key ITIL processes such as Incident Management and Problem Management and many others.

This is a technical role that has experience in all major network technologies such as switching / routing, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, cloud-based network services and SDN.

A key aspect to the role is Continuous Improvement achieved through Problem Management, High Availability engineering, identifying and mitigation of single points of failure, process improvements, automation opportunities, and other areas that increase the availability and resiliency of the JNJ network.
The Lead Network Operations is supporting and maintaining a strong business partner relationships and responding to feedback regarding network performance. The Lead Network Operations will participate in discussions, pilots, experiments, design considerations, and data analysis with engineering and deployment teams to ensure of continuous improvement and supports the regional team with specific technical requirements for new network services.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Overall delivery of network operations across all JNJ’s businesses within region as well as the globe per a follow-the-sun support model and supporting technical vendor management of Network and telecom Managed Service Providers.
- Continuous Improvement to identify and mitigate single points of failure, process improvements, automation opportunities, and other areas that increase the availability and resiliency of the JNJ network.
- Includes support of management of the operational technologies, tools, metrics, and processes required to support the network domain.
- Provide input, analysis and recommendations for operational metrics and dashboards.
- Heavily supply Reliability Process within the Network domain.
- Change Management process including Change quality and technical review / approval of Changes for break/fix situations.
- Implementation and success of Release Management, Asset and Maintenance Management, high availability activity such as ensuring of WAN path diversity, and operational automation.
- Partner closely with engineering and deployment teams to ensure of feedback and input of regional specific requirements. Participate in pilots, experiments, and provide input for design considerations.
- Partner with other internal IT organizations to deliver end to end process excellence resulting in more robust infrastructure services. This includes collaborating with security and other vendors.
- Coordinate site health assessments and lead remediation of network infrastructure opportunities.

**Other Duties**:

- Provide input for the development of operational ITIL standards, policies, and guidelines
- Access Management (device access, site access/badging/on and offboarding)
- Knowledge Management (Knowledge Articles, Run books, etc.)
- Certificate / License Management
- Supporting and lead internal Operations initiatives

**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (min. CCNA)
- 7+ years related experience.
- Preferred, large / enterprise network operations expertise and experience.
- Experience in vendor management experience in a large, outsourced environment
- Strong troubleshooting experience in complex network environments
- Experienced in several key technologies including: routing/switching, WAN technologies, EIGRP/BGP, VPN, SDWAN, Cloud connectivity, Cloud-based Networking technology, WLAN, network troubleshooting tools
- High availability / resiliency engineering
- Solid experience using network management and troubleshooting tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
