**Job Summary**
The primary goal is to ensure efficient and effective operations to deliver a positive customer experience and drive business growth. Ahlers Global Operations Director is responsible for all operational, transportation procurement, customer service and planning (S&OP) activities of the company. Acts as the bridge between Business Units and Operations, taking leadership over Operational Management functions.
**Key functional duties**:
- Manages the team and processes;
- Ensures the operational resources are used optimally via Sales and Operation Functions;
- Delivers the expansion of warehouse operations according to business needs;
- Leads the operational organization including employees engaged in Customs, Forwarding, Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, S&OP Planning, Procurement;
- Leads the Ops managers in the different locations in ensuring that business initiative is implemented, and best practice is shared;
- Works together with Business Unit Manager to identify and realize opportunities for business development;
- Leads the work to realize efficiency and cost savings in related to OPS;
- Acts to challenge and support decision making within the Limited & Extended Management Team;
- Supports decision making of the Board of Directors through providing relevant and accurate operational information.
**Key Competencies/Professional skills**:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management;
- Excellent people management and prior experience in developing high performance team;
- Experience in Supply chain software system is preferred, knowledge of TMS / WMS functionalities is expected;
- Demonstrate ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and creatively develop processes to aid efficiency and effectiveness;
- Must show initiative, be resourceful, able to work independently without a lot of guidance;
- Must be able to effectively lead, prioritize, manage time and projects, and multi-task in a fast paced, growing company environment;
- Must present well, with confidence, humility and with the audience in mind;
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and staff in a diverse, global environment.
**Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.**
**English, Russian are required on day-to-day basis.**
