**_ Water & Energy Manager_**
- Job purpose: _

You will be part of the Water & Energy Management team (related to utilities such as water, carbon emissions, electricity, natural gas, steam, a.o.). Topics includes, but are not limited to, energy efficiency & reduction, consumption monitoring, strategies' definition, technological choices, installations' design and operations, budgets definition, related to GSK Belgium activities (manufacturing, quality and research operations), both to support projects' or routine operations' activities

**In this role you will **
- Ensure regular technical contact with MPU representative (User), TS Head and sub-departments of Belgium Engineering and Maintenance team (BeEM) : Capex/Asset Care/Technologies expert,
- Provide support to BeEM / SPUs / MPUs: e-Ticket request and TP13 / TP25 assessment.
- Deep analysis of the problem / issues with recommendations
- Propose the best action plan / solution in term of energy management and GSK good practices.
- Analyze the opportunities to improve internal process and system in his domain.
- Select with his N+1 adequate outsourced resources for short-term need.
- Assure that Global Guidance are integrated in Local documents
- Perform GEMBA, PSS, audit L1 and support L2 / L3 audits.
- Perform training package in his domain.
- Build internal capabilities as well as external (Engineering Offices, Contractors)
- Define and perform Gate Reviews with partners.
- Review and participate in the improvement of the Technical Standards, EHS Guidances.
- Provide expertise support to the CAPEX project managers resulting in optimal project execution in his domain.
- Be a fronter or support fronter in his domain during legal inspection or internal and external Audits (L3, L4).
- Keeps up-to-date on normative and regulatory evolutions, standards and ways-of-working and assess potential impacts and opportunities for GSK.
- Accountability_
- Review and write specifications in his discipline.
- Ensure reporting and escalation as needed in different level of councils (BOLT, EHS councils, PRBs, CPPT, a.o.).
- Provide the technical expertise to resolve the complex technical issues experienced by MPU regarding technical installations in its discipline
- Give support to engineers who design the systems in compliance with EHS GSK requirements and Belgium legal requirements.
- Give advice to hierarchic line on the way (how) to respect and reach legal obligation.
- Be the accountable Specialist / Subject Matter Expert for Energy Management for Belgium, coordinate with Global as appropriate.
- Ensure state-of-the-art technical and regulatory watch in the areas of energy to stay recognized in-house expert.
- Ensure awareness of management (knowledge / risks / opportunities)
- Leadership:_
- Keep the knowhow internally
- Able to influence and set up energy rules by building strong internal network (with Technical Services and Engineering).
- Ensure appropriate coordination with stakeholders: Procurement (Global / Local), EHS, S/MPUs
- Recognized as in-house expert in his domain by BeEM, Belgium Site and stakeholders.
- Role-model in term of mindset, discipline and behavior.
- Ensure communication and visibility to promote the initiatives.

- Qualifications & Skills:_
- Master’s degree in Engineering sciences
- Min. of 8 years' experience including 5 years in the required domain and industrial environment : Engineering & Maintenance.
- Deep and specific knowledge of energy flow system (fluid, piping, electricity) and regulatory / normative context.
- Preferred Qualifications & Skills: _
- Project management basis experience.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory
- Highly effective at influencing internally and externally
- Highly effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Has the ability to work fully autonomous
- Sense of urgency, flexibility and accountability.
- Ability to discuss and negotiate technical matters with suppliers
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to work in a high complex matrix environment
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
