Capex Project Manager

The BeEM CAPEX team manages the portfolio of all CAPEX projects in Belgium Operations. The team is responsible to ensure all CAPEX projects are delivered according to plan with Safety & Quality standards as a priority. The team is also accountable for the adherence to the engineering standards and practices in the projects. In view of the focus required on various automation projects: Data Integrity, Cyber Security, Automation obsolescence, and others coming in the foreseeable future, the team has identified a need to expand the dedicated CAPEX Automation team to ensure the successful delivery of the Automation CAPEX Portfolio for Belgium Operations. The position CAPEX Project Manager Automation will report directly to the Head of CAPEX Automation projects for Belgium. - You are accountable for the successful delivery of the Automation CapEx projects for Belgium Operations according to the PMF (Project Management Framework) procedures - You are responsible for the safety KPIs of your project and the integration of all EHS related requirements. - From the very start of the project, you are responsible for the set-up of the project organization and will remain responsible from the Conceptual/Basic Engineering to Hand-over and Close-out phase to ensure an outcome which meets all the defined project objectives for cost, schedule, quality, safety and environment and delivers the business benefits. - You are the owner of one or several Automation projects or programs with a budget ranging from 1m€ to >20m€ - You are accountable for project cost estimating, cost controlling and forecasting - You ensure a clear business case is defined for each project - You work with all internal and external stakeholders to have the required project team at your disposal. - You ensure projects are developed with PMF methodology and follow lifecycle of the project. - You are responsible for preparing the projects for the project governance procedures - You are responsible to prepare the project for the stage gate reviews at the end of each project phase. - You work closely with Automation technical SME team for the scope development and technical strategy definition of the project. - You work with customers & PMO to prepare projects for YOP and ensure that they are encoded in the system - Drive the Project Execution Plan process, documenting the project delivery strategy and the success criteria according to the PM Standard. Establishes a Quality Plan for the project and is proactive in planning for quality. - Prepares monthly progress reports according to the PMF Standard. Keeps the Steering Group and Sponsors informed of critical issues that could jeopardize projects success. - Develops a risk management strategy for the project and implements associated processes and tools to ensure effective identification, monitoring and management of project risk. - Leads the qualification of the engineering services providers, contactors and vendors and decide and direct the appropriate contractual strategy. Uses proven selection processes to develop the appropriate contract strategy for the project, selects and manages contractors and settles any claims in accordance with company policy. - Implements strict project and financial controls, including procedures for change control / management, cost control / forecasting, physical progress / productivity measurement, and invoice review / payment. - Ensure that the overall commissioning, validation & handover strategy that fully complies with the PM Standard and implements to ensure a timely and complete handover to the Customer. **Wat verwachten wij van jou? **technische job CAPEX Project Manager - Automation**: Basic Qualifications: - Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical or Chemical - Robust experience with automation projects - Background in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred - Fluent in French and English - Min. 8 years of CAPEX Project management experience as PM or Program Manager - PMP certification is a plus - Strong leadership skills & proven team management Preferred Qualifications: - Organizational skills - Stake holder management & negotiation & influencing skills - The role requires sound judgment and complex decision making where few precedents and considerable ambiguity may exist - Experience in a Change Management project **Waar ga je werken?**: Careers for Engineers We are the match between Engineers and companies that deploy these Engineers on a project basis.
