**The Opportunity**:
We have a great new opportunity for a **Senior Manager Commercial Operations (EMEA/ROW)** as part of the global Supply Chain Team. This position will be based in Belgium (Westerlo).

**Job Focus**:
As part of the global Lifescan supply chain team, we ensure that all our goods arrive at the right place and the right time within the EMEA/ROW region every day.
In order to ensure this complex job runs smoothly, we work closely together with our Logistics provider (distribution center/3PL) based in Geel (BE) and many internal stakeholders. Managing your team and monitoring the EMEA/ROW Order-to-cash and logistic activities in partnership with the distribution center, are an essential part in this complex environment.

**Responsibilities include**:

- This role has a balance of both efficient daily transactional execution as well as facilitating process improvements with cross-functional teams within Lifescan, you are the link between internal stakeholders (commercial/quality/finance/ manufacturing operations/ procurement) and the logistics provider based in Geel (BE)
- Together with your team, you manage the processes of physical distribution in place with the 3PL and ensure these are applied timely and correctly in order to fulfill product availability according to market requirements and GMP/GDP rules
- Manages EMEA partnership with the transportation and warehouse service provider to ensure an optimized service within agreed service levels
- You will support monthly meetings with the 3PL and participate on multiple projects that have an impact to supply chain
- You handle escalations and non-standard cases
- You are responsible for performance (KPIs) and budget - you monitor supplier invoices and quotations are within agreed ratecards and allocated operational budget
- You strive for enhancements to further streamline the operational model from both cost and service efficiency perspective.
- This position oversees a team of 5 direct reports -you will develop, coach & lead your team in order to fulfill the daily recurring business

We are looking for an organised seasoned people manager who has a solid experience in order to cash & logistics management and a continuous improvement mindset.

- Demonstrated ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines, working well under tight deadlines
- A hands-on, _getting things done_ attitude and demonstrating a proactive approach and an ability to prioritize and anticipate are required
- Bridge builder, able to build strong working partnerships
- Proficiency in MS Office product suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Adjusts quickly to complex changing work priorities and unplanned events
- Maintains effective and ethical working relationships across the organization
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a participatory manner with staff to assess needs, implement and monitor activities
- Ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in Dutch as well as English

**Education**:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or
- Relevant experience combined with a healthy portion of eagerness to learn and getting things done
