Mission Statement

We are looking for a highly motivated Sourcing specialist.

Contribute to the success of Buckman EMENA most by managing our relationships with our suppliers,

managing the total costs involved with the supply chain and by ultimately ensuring for the reliable

supply of purchased materials. Improve the Sourcing process of Buckman EMENA by developing new partners, arranging agreements that will support the company’s growth and maximize profitability.

Expectations for the role
- Establish, build up and realize optimized sources by expanding EMENA supplier base to ensure shortages and supply risks are mitigated.
- Develop strategic partners to support Buckman in the manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
- Continuously pursuing, implementing, and driving cost reduction activities to improve overall business performance.
- Maintaining total cost optimization, high quality assurance and product supply.
- Manage cost by effective price negotiation with suppliers.
- Providing the market information on feedstock price to report price increases/reductions to Sales.
- Leading and improving the supplier management system, including the EMENA market exploration and analysis, competitiveness benchmarking and risk assessment.
- Develop strong working relationship with suppliers by regularly reviewing, evaluating and assessing our suppliers' performance and compliance to process, product and quality specification.
- Working with SHEQ to ensure selected suppliers are audited to ensure alignment with Buckman fundamentals, and ISO/OHSAS policies.

Minimum requirement to apply
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the chemical industry. In-depth knowledge of the Buckman industry is a plus.
- Broad knowledge of chemical industry and knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of strategic sourcing, financial management principles, contract management and SAP.
- Advanced communication, influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- A high level of interpersonal and management skills and ability to work with teams in the organization at all levels.
- IT/Computer skills (MS Office, BI software, SAP).
