**Continuous Improvement & QA Manager**- Sint-Niklaas**

We are excited to be seeking a **Continuous Improvement & QA Manager **within our Sint-Niklaas team in Belgium.

Since its foundation in 1884, JBT has installed worldwide more than 40,000 machines, more specifically over 5,000 fillers and closers, and over 4,000 sterilization systems. You will ultimately be responsible for leading and managing continuous improvement initiatives for the entire business unit. We would like someone with a ‘Sensei-type’ coaching approach to business leadership to enable the development of lean processes over time. Ultimately, we need someone who will interact with the business at all levels, gaining buy-in and with a natural approachability; someone people will just want to share their ideas with

**Responsibilities**:
** A day in the life of our **Continuous Improvement & QA Manager** **
- Firstly, you will get to know our business inside and out, gaining a deep understand of our products and processes. Having knowledge of manufacturing and engineering will enable you to comprehend what we do and how we do it, leading you to short, mid and long term continous improvement (we like to call Continuous Improvement - RCI at JBT, adding the word Relentless which we love) initiatives.
- We would like you to be confident and challenge our organizational leaders, to create an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability. This will allow us to improve KPI’s, including business growth, productivity, asset utilization, inventory, and customer allegiance
- You will work closely with leadership and management to accelerate Customer satisfaction and financial savings.
- Your role is responsible for leadership and development of programs that will educate teammates about lean concepts that lead to the identification, development, and implementation of improvements. Typical improvement activity will result in improved safety, quality, delivery and cost reductions; we call this SQDC.
- Whilst you will provide RCI activity supporting all departments you may be required to provide assistance to other JBT facilities worldwide, therefore if you have experience working globally with teams this would be advantageous.
- You will lead, direct and facilitate ongoing lean improvement processes using techniques such as A3, Kaizen, 5’S, Kanban, pacing boards, etc.
- Providing lean improvement orientation and on-the-job training for teammates and ensures that the responsibilities are defined and understood whilst you oversee lean projects, will all be daily activities for you.
- Your passion for RCI will allow you to teach and actively coach others to lead improvement efforts, including training on effective tools for successful project leadership.
- We would like you to identify ongoing lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training. All whilst ensuring that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes and methods are being utilized.
- Reporting on RCI activities and establishing metrics to monitor savings, compared to established goals and targets. You will also develop and maintain annual value stream mapping efforts, improvement funnels and calendars.

Qualifications:
** What we would like to see in your experience **
- Full working knowledge of Lean Concepts with demonstrated success, with ideally 10+ years of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing but we love diversity here at JBT, so if you think you have what we want please do apply
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience preferred
- We seek fluent English skills and Dutch/Flemish
