**What you will do**

The Business Analyst is responsible for the controlling of all personnel costs across the organization and for providing accurate and timely reports and dashboards to facilitate cost control. The Business Analyst reports into the Global Head of Controlling and Revenue

**Your responsibilities**
- Ensure compensation expenses and personnel costs are recorded accurately in accordance with global accounting requirements for all entities
- Prepare and present commentary to key stakeholders on cost centres such as personnel costs relating to P&L movements each month
- Ensure controls and procedures are in place in relation to the general ledger.
- Collaborate closely with Payroll, Human Resources and other parts of Finance including legal entity controllers and tax to ensure accurate recording and understanding of cost allocations
- Manage the processes associated with the forecasting and budgeting of cost centres such as personnel costs
- Deliver effective Finance business partnering across all key business areas internally as well as key Finance and HR stakeholders in Paris
- Implement processes, systems, and procedures to ensure reliability, effectiveness of management information flows, and financial flows
- Understand and monitor HR-related costs and conduct analysis to identify risks and opportunities
- Optimize the costs and efficiency of activities in line with internal control practices
- Be involved in the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Finance and HR & other stakeholders
- Ongoing budget control noting variances and impacts to forecast of cost centers
- Monitor, raise POs & spend through monthly cost analysis
- Responsible for commission-based calculations in accordance with policy, gaining approval and processing
- Liaise with and answer queries from internal and external auditors
- Work on projects including updates of operational policies and procedures

**To be successfull in this role, you'll need**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
- Experience in Financial Controlling
- Fluent in English and Dutch, French is recommended
- ** Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality** due to the high sensitivity of the data manipulated
- Highly numerate
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, conditional formulas etc.), strong data manipulation skills
- Well-organized, methodical and detail orientated with an ability to work to tight and recurring deadlines
- Self-starter, quick learner, with an ability to adjust to change and the desire to take on responsibility
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form, with all levels of the business
- Process orientated with the ability to handle multiple priorities within a fast-paced global environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesize information and summarize key issues
- Possess a strong internal drive and motivation for continuous improvement
- Ability to partner with stakeholders at different levels of the business to achieve tight monthly objectives
- An energetic and pragmatic approach. Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude
- HR and Payroll systems experience an advantage, prior use of general ledger systems is desirable.
