**Role description**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AI Compliance Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our AI systems and processes comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. As such, you will play a key role in adapting our AI governance & will collaborate with the Proximus data governance & legal departments to implement proper checks. This role requires a keen understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency while promoting fairness and accountability in all AI-related activities across the Proximus companies.

**Qualifications**:

- Master's degree in computer science, Law, Ethics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with a focus on AI and technology.
- Experience with developing and implementing compliance programs.
- Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPM, or equivalent) is a plus

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s AI compliance program.
- Monitor and interpret the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure ongoing compliance with laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of AI systems to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to e that compliance requirements are integrated into the development and deployment of AI systems.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance best practices and ethical considerations in AI.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and breaches and implement corrective actions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and inspections related to AI compliance.

**Skills Required**:

- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to AI (especially EU AI Act, ISO 42K,...)
- Ability to stay updated with evolving regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good knowledge of data protection law & regulations (GDPR, Data Act)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- High level of integrity and ethical judgment.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
