Tropos was founded in 2017 as a niche boutique consultancy in data engineering. We believe that focus allows us to build the expertise that really matters to our customers and translates directly into data-driven efficiency gains.

Tropos offers strategic business consulting to customers in the design and decision phase of building futureproof, integrated and flexible data solutions. In the actual building phase - thanks to our focus on continuous improvement and automation - we can have a bigger impact with a smaller team. A team that is end-to-end involved in delivering high-quality data solutions to our customers and in the further development of Tropos.

‍ ABOUT THE JOB

As projectmanger & teamlead:

- You manage scope, time, risk and budget of the project(s) at hand;
- You work towards a timely and qualitative delivery of the project in an agile way;
- You act as a trusted advisor and you cultivate enduring customer relationships;
- You are the first point of contact for both the customer and the Tropos team on the project(s) assigned to you and you act as a liaison between them;
- You translate business questions into manageable tasks for your team of data engineers;
- You do regular one-on-ones, coaching conversations and a performance review at the end of the year with the colleagues on your project team(s);
- You inspire and motivate your team(s) and you celebrate success along the way;
- You ensure that people can learn and grow on projects by having an eye for their personal talents and competencies and by offering hands-on learning opportunities to everyone;
- You share best practices and knowledge within Tropos;

- Since you will work in an expertise-focused and (data) engineering environment, a passion for technology or even previous experience in data engineering is a bonus. A willingness to learn more about the technical side of things might also help;
- A team player with a coaching attitude and a growth mindset towards oneself and others;
- Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus and other languages a bonus;
