**Your Role**
The Security Officer (SO) supports the implementation and enforcement of the local security processes defined by the local laws & regulations and internal Digital Realty (DLR) standards. You oversee standard DLR secure access processes, coordinate the external site-visits and make sure all the visitors on site are compliant. Moreover, you support the QHSE Manager with the day-to-day operational activities. You make sure that the security systems are functioning and provide support to the external service providers. You generate security reports that are requested by the local office and/or the customer. You also contribute to the successful performance during internal and external audit controls.
**What you’ll need**
- Higher education with a degree in Risk Management, Security Management or within a similar, relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a security department
- Advanced knowledge in the area of security management
- Intermediate level experience with security systems and processes
- Intermediate level experience with mechanical and electrical access control systems implementation and management
- Intermediate level experience in managing security tests, emergency drills and security trainings
- Familiar with DC Operations and security processes
- Able to identify security and / or BCM risks and suggest solutions
- Good knowledge of MS office tools
- You have a sense of responsibility, take initiative and have a hands-on approach.
- You have strong communication
- and advisory skills, and you are good at convincing people.
- You have an eye for details
- Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
