As a member of our Legal & Regulatory Tribe the **Regulatory Affairs Expert **provides regulatory advice, representation, and support in relation to broad range of regulatory topics, focused on the services and products Telenet, as well as companies Telenet has invested in, provides to customers or procures from other parties. **Your responsibilities as a Regulatory Affairs Expert** - Define the Regulatory Affairs policy that is necessary for the implementation of the strategy of Telenet. - Representing Telenet in regulatory files towards internal and external stakeholders (regulators, authorities, sector organizations). - Monitoring relevant regulation and market evolutions. - Drafting position paper on relevant regulatory matters. - Presenting and defending positions towards internal and external stakeholders. - Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in close cooperation with the business. - Acting as a legal point of contact for these matters internally and externally towards law firms - Advising on the implementation of new legislation. - Preventing Telenet to incur regulatory fines. - Contributing to the wider goals and mission of the Tribe and Telenet. The warm company of colleagues who are just as passionate as you. **Our ideal Regulatory Affairs Expert - At least 7 years of relevant work experience, specifically as a regulatory officer, lawyer and/or in-house counsel. - Interested in Telenet as a company and in the technology and media sector. - Good understanding of the political and regulatory environments at European and Belgian level. - Proficient in Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French. - Both a team player (coordinating with others, sharing knowledge,...) and able to work independently. - Good at translating the regulatory context into practical and pragmatic advice that is also easily understood by those without a legal background. - Not afraid to think beyond the legal framework; able to consider the external environment and anticipate key challenges/future events that may impact Telenet.
