About the Company
We're working with a leading international construction and engineering contractor delivering major projects across the data centre, logistics, advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Social Compliance Officer to support ethical labour practices and workforce compliance on a major data centre project in Mons, Belgium. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing international business with genuine long-term career progression. The Role As Social Compliance Officer, you'll work closely with project teams, subcontractors and labour providers to ensure workforce compliance and ethical labour standards across the project. You'll support audits, inspections and compliance activities while helping to promote best practice throughout the workforce and supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of social compliance standards.
- Review employment contracts, right-to-work documentation and workforce records.
- Check timesheets, payslips and posted worker documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor and labour agency compliance.
- Identify labour, welfare and ethical compliance risks.
- Support audits, inspections and workforce welfare reviews.
- Investigate compliance concerns and assist with corrective actions.
- Deliver or support compliance training and toolbox talks.
- Produce compliance reports and maintain accurate records.
- Act as a key contact for social compliance queries.
- Work closely with HR, Procurement, HSE and Project Management teams. About You
- Degree or relevant experience in Compliance, HR, Law, Business, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in Social Compliance, Labour Compliance, ESG, Ethical Sourcing, HR Compliance or Workforce Welfare.
- Good understanding of employment legislation and workforce compliance.
- Knowledge of Belgian labour law, Limosa requirements or posted worker regulations is an advantage.
- Experience supporting audits or inspections.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English is essential.
- French, Dutch or another European language is beneficial.
- Organised, proactive and detail-oriented. What's on Offer?
