Plasterboard Engineering Expert

**Business Context** To accelerate on the Operational Excellence pillar of the Etex Manufacturing strategy, new technology based “Centres of Excellence” will be created. The purpose of these Centres of Excellence is first to support the “Lighthouse plants” to achieve accelerated performance improvements and to manage specific transversal projects to support other plasterboard factories. This new approach will bring additional resources to implement agreed actions and to ensure that achieved results are sustained in the plant and shared in the wider manufacturing organisation for further implementation. Next to this, the Centres of Excellence will help implementing the necessary tools to ensure Industry 4.0 transformation in the Lighthouse plants. **Mission** Within the Center of Excellence “Plasterboard”, the mission of the Plasterboard Engineering Expert aims to provide technological and maintenance/automation support to facilitate integrated solutions for the plants in scope by implementing good practices from other factories or new solutions. Based on her/his experience, she/he will determine the best technical solution to set up or improve the actual conditions of the selected plants. **Key roles and Responsibilities** - Collects best practices from other Plasterboard factories. - Lead projects as defined by the Center of Excellence Steerco. - Responsible to provide technical assistance to plants in scope and Etex Engineering Project Manager. Connects the plant to the appropriate internal experts or external resource / supplier. - Responsible to establish standard practices for equipment selection and maintenance. Validates the documentation used with operations users and central process expert. - Takes the lead for searching for new technologies and support Etex ITC/process experts for innovation development. Assess the performance of new equipment installed. - Responsible to share experiences and best practices inside the Center of Excellence teams and translate into solutions. At the same time, responsible to share and investigate similar solutions with the Etex Engineering Team.
