**Role Overview**

The Operations Scheduling Lead will be a key part of the site supply chain management team, leading a team that is accountable and responsible for detailed scheduling of manufacturing operations for cell therapy, to support both clinical and commercial requirements in a sterile cGMP environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The position requires in-depth understanding of operations scheduling within the supply chain planning function, with proven track-record of shop-floor scheduling experiences in cGMP environment, which is ideally combined with team and people leading experience. This position requires strong process-oriented mindset, with hands-on analytical skills with the ability to quickly analyze data to support decision-making in the day-to-day scheduling activities. This position is also the key interface representing site supply chain for communication and collaboration with partners such as Vein-to-Vein (V2V), Manufacturing Operations, Planning and Procurement to understand production slots availability to meet patients demand while providing an optimal service level and performance.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Leading a team of schedulers supporting 2 manufacturing facilities in Ghent, oversee the shop-floor execution of Master Production Schedule: setting up the vision & structure to support the operations execution, monitor the performance of the structure and identify areas of improvement to ensure optimal results.
- Own and maintain short-term manufacturing ops schedule (day-to-day detailed schedule per cleanroom, 2- 4 weeks horizon) based on established process flows for DP, factoring in material and resource availabilities and facility capacity.
- Own and maintain plant capacity and production requisition data to resolve production schedule and required capacity and resources
- Own and maintain site(s) production scheduling processes as well as master data.
- Oversee potential re-prioritization and re-scheduling activities and resolve first line escalations by managing re-scheduling as needed and exceptions management.
- Provide direct input to setting Master Production Planning metrics targets.
- Develop, interconnect, maintain, and actively manage functional stakeholder relationships to enable assembly and execution of an optimized/aligned plan (MPS)
- Collaborate with other planning teams (master planning, material supply)that support areas or functions and those plans into a master plant production schedule
- Monitor progress-to-plan by proactively identifying threats/challenges that jeopardize the production plan and work to pull functional stakeholders together in order to prioritize and develop contingency/mitigation strategies to ensure manufacturing operations and scheduling continuity
- Partner, support and communicate frequently with V2V, Manufacturing Operations, Planning & Procurement counterparts to ensure daily and longer-term production plans are successfully achieved
- Actively participate and contribute to future forecasting analysis that maintains certain flexibility and optimized resource capacity and utilization
- Prepare, lead and participate in routine planning and communications, meetings, reports, presentations, graphs and metrics
- Support in developing strategic planning methodologies and tools to integrate all operating and support area activities that is scalable, sustainable and handles high throughput and demand
- Serve as Business Process Owner (BPO) lead for D2D manufacturing planning & scheduling activities for Legend's ERP - Support and enable best business practice adoption and process improvement end-to-end

**Qualification**

**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business/Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience required.

**Experience**:

- 8-10 years working within supply chain/operations planning function, out of which a minimum of 3 years in a similar planning/scheduling function.
- Initial people and team leading experience would be a strong plus.
- Operations experience within a cGMP environment in the biotech/biopharma industry preferred.
- SAP - Advanced Supply Chain Planning and D2D best business practices knowledge is highly desired
