**Your responsibilities**
- Support execution of an EU Public Affairs strategy centered on priority issues;
- Comprehensive monitoring and analysis regarding relevant legislative developments at EU-level, especially in the fields of energy, environmental and chemical legislation
- Represent LANXESS in industry associations and vis-à-vis relevant stakeholders, including EU decision-makers
- Preparation of comprehensive briefing documents for Senior management
- Support with daily tasks such as internal projects & organizational tasks
- Network building towards relevant stakeholders in Brussels
- Organisation of events in Brussels and digital formats
- Support the Head of the EU Representation office as well as the VP Political Relations in Cologne in their daily work
**Your profile**
- Degree, preferably in the fields of European studies, politics, law or economics or natural sciences.
- Relevant professional experience at European or national level, e.g. in an EU institution and/or a trade association, company or consultancy, required
- Excellent understanding of the EU legislative processes and procedures
- Knowledge of EU Green Deal and chemical industry policy issues is an advantage
- Very good command of written and spoken German and English; knowledge of French or other EU language is an advantage
- Confident and engaging demeanour, ability to build and maintain contacts and to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Able to deliver accurate, high quality work on time and meet deadlines
- Quick learner and motivated to go deeper into issues in view of finding solutions
- Willingness to occasionally travel on business, especially to global HQ in Cologne (Germany)
