**PerkinElmer is looking for **Field Application Specialist Automation & Liquid Handling, Benelux& Nordics**
**Preferred location: the Netherlands**
**Optional locations: Belgium, Sweden, Denmark**
Liquid handlers and the flexibility of these platforms are today a unique and needed feature in modern laboratories within life-science, applied genomics and other areas. The creation of user-specific workflows, special NGS needs or programming of clean-up steps on the liquid handler, could be a normal requirement for this job. This job offer both the practical and theoretical aspects of liquid handling and the programming and execution at the clients laboratory.
**Area of responsibility**:
- Planning demonstrations within liquid handling.
- Support and liaise with the sales team for constructive selling, also known as pre-selling.
- Support with post-selling, in coordination with specific requests from the clients and account manager
- Support the sales team in the offer and closing phase as well as the service staff in the post-sale phase as a technical expert
- Implementation of market and competition analyzes.
- Professional advice and implementation of product demonstrations in the context of trade fairs and road shows
- Implementation of customer training - product presentations at company events, seminars, trade fairs and congresses
**Requirements**:
- Location in Netherlands but the position is open for the entire Nordic/Benelux region.
- Completed university degree in natural sciences, preferably molecular-biology or chemistry with a focus on biochemistry, microbiology or NGS.
- A similar level of experience obtained differently is also adequate.
- Experience with lab-automation or configuration of liquid handling stations is a benefit.
- Software awareness and programming skills is an important element.
- Independent, determined and sales-oriented actions.
- Organizational talent, commitment and a pronounced awareness of responsibility and costs as well as a high degree of customer orientation
- Friendly, cooperative demeanor towards colleagues and customers
- Communication and negotiation skills in dealing with our customers and business partners
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office package
- Residence conveniently located and centrally located in the area to be looked after Nordic/Benelux
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel
This position will also offer the option to develop into a ARS expert (Automatic Robot Solutions) - where multiple systems can be build together, highly configured to the client needs.
