**For one of our clients Hays is looking for an Internal Controller BeLux in Brussels.**:
**What you'll be doing**:
- Leading self-assessment campaigns to ensure compliance with corporate deadlines and requirements
- Defining and implementing action plans
- Updating local management and corporate on the progress of action plans
- Supporting in acquisition diagnostics
- Leading process improvement projects to strengthen the control environment and gain efficiency
- Leading fraud prevention efforts
- Collaborating with the compliance department on common topics
- Supporting in risk mapping, compliance reviews, and diagnostics
- Supporting in compliance training and awareness
- Acting as the point of contact for internal auditors
**What we're looking for**:
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Internal Audit, External Audit, or Internal Control
- Independent and autonomous
- Networking talent with strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Flexibility to work in a complex and changing environment
- Excellent knowledge of English and fluency in Dutch or French
