Senior Cloud Enterprise Architect r. 1288

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cloud Architect to support a large-scale European IT initiative within a European Organization based in Brussels. The role focuses on defining, governing, and coordinating enterprise and cloud architecture across complex, interoperable information systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and European IT governance frameworks.Key Responsibilities:Provide architectural guidance and support on system architecture and system processes in close collaboration with the contractor and internal stakeholders.Support system architecture and processes related to interoperability between SKPT and external European systems such as EURES and Europass.Define and contribute to strategies aimed at improving efficiency, scalability, and sustainability of IT operations.Design, review, and maintain enterprise and cloud architecture blueprints, technical designs, and architecture documentation.Coordinate and assess current system processes, identifying gaps, risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities.Participate in and facilitate technical workshops, architecture reviews, and stakeholder meetings.Evaluate existing systems to identify discrepancies, architectural weaknesses, and security vulnerabilities.Analyse and oversee the integration of multiple information systems and data sources.Perform data analysis and data modelling activities to support architectural decisions.Coordinate the implementation of the technical architecture and ensure compliance with architectural standards and governance.Act as the technical interface between project leaders, developers, business analysts, and end users.Produce and maintain high-quality software and system architecture documentation.Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings.Support activities related to testing, technical analysis, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.Design and develop cloud architecture components and reusable building blocks.Review the architecture of existing systems and support cloud migration initiatives.Education:Master's Degree or equivalent (minimum 5 years of higher education).Required Knowledge & SkillsTechnical & Architectural Skills:Strong experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, COBIT).Knowledge of Archimate modelling language.Strong understanding of microservices-based and cloud-native architectures.Experience designing architectures for interoperable, distributed systems.Expertise in semantic technologies and the Semantic Web Stack:RDF / OWLSPARQLApache JenaSemantic reasoning enginesExperience with cloud architecture design, cloud migration, and hybrid environments.Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning integration, architecture governance frameworks, and MLOps concepts.Practical experience in system vulnerability assessment and architecture-level security considerations.Soft Skills & Professional Competencies:Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quality-assurance mindset.Proven ability to produce clear, structured, and high-quality technical documentation.Fluency in English (C2 level), both written and spoken.High level of discretion and integrity, due to handling of personal and confidential data.Required Certifications:AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertGoogle Professional Cloud ArchitectCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)ITIL Foundation CertificationBenefits:Competitive compensation package according to experience and qualifications.Hybrid mode of working.Excellent working conditions and significant opportunities for professional growth.Challenging and creative highly skilled work environment.Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and participate in innovative CRM solutions.UpcoMinds is a dynamic IT company with 28 years of experience that provides end-to-end web and mobile solutions helping businesses to reinvent themselves in the digital world.
