Digital Validation Engineer (FPGA) – Belgium – 6 MonthsLocation: Leuven, BelgiumStart: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced Digital Validation Engineer to support an FPGA-focused project involving design adaptation, implementation, prototyping, and validation. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across the full FPGA flow, with a particular emphasis on prototyping and electrical validation. You will work closely with another senior expert and the design team in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute the full FPGA flow from RTL to FPGA bitstream generation and electrical validationDevelop, apply, and analyze FPGA timing constraints and timing reportsSupport FPGA prototyping, bring-up, and validation activitiesPerform device, board, and bench-level debugging to identify root causesConduct electrical validation using oscilloscopes and digital analyzersCollaborate closely with design and validation teamsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience with FPGA design, implementation, and validationProficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilogDeep understanding of FPGA timing concepts (CDC, clocking, combinatorial loops)Hands-on experience with Synplify, Vivado Place & Route, and Xilinx FPGAsExperience writing C-based tests and Python code for FPGA testingFamiliarity with FPGA debug tools and revision control systems (e.g. SVN)Solid background in electronics fundamentals and hardware debugging
