The Opportunity

An established international pharmaceutical company is looking for an Account Manager – Respiratory to take ownership of a territory covering the Aalst–Ghent area and neighbouring regions.

This is an opportunity to build long-term relationships with GPs and hospital-based pneumologists, while developing strong expertise within the respiratory therapeutic area.

You will have significant autonomy over your territory, with responsibility for deciding which customers to prioritise, how to engage with them and how to develop the region over time.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and develop your own territory across the Aalst–Ghent area and surrounding regions
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with GPs and pneumologists
  • Have meaningful scientific discussions around respiratory care, treatment developments, guidelines and clinical evidence
  • Develop and implement an effective annual interaction plan for your territory
  • Identify key accounts and prioritise HCP engagement based on territory insights and data
  • Develop and maintain account plans for key customers
  • Organise meetings, educational activities and events to increase engagement with HCPs
  • Monitor territory performance and adapt your strategy based on results
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different functions and departments
  • Find creative ways to engage HCPs in an increasingly challenging access environment
  • Become a trusted scientific and commercial partner to your customers rather than simply focusing on transactional sales

What We're Looking For

  • Around 3 years+ of field sales experience with healthcare professionals
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred
  • Candidates from medical devices or diagnostics may also be considered, particularly where there is experience within a prescription-driven environment
  • Strong interest in science and healthcare
  • Comfortable having scientific conversations with healthcare professionals
  • Able to analyse territory data and translate it into a clear action plan
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Fluent or strong working knowledge of Dutch and English
  • Ideally based in or close to the territory
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a field-based territory
  • Motivated by developing expertise within a specific therapeutic area
