Pump / Maintenance Technician | Process Industry

We are supporting a chemical manufacturing site in the Flemish region of Belgium in their search for an experienced Pump Technician / Maintenance Technician to strengthen their on-site maintenance team on a long-term freelance basis.This role is suited to a hands-on technician who is confident working independently in a safety-critical chemical environment.Your roleYou will be responsible for the revision, overhaul, and maintenance of industrial pumps, including:Centrifugal pumpsMagnetic drive pumpsDosing pumpsWhen pump work is limited, you may also support with:Valve maintenance and replacementBasic mechanical piping work (no welding)Installation, removal, or modification of pipingMechanical assembly using correct torque values (studs & bolts)This is a full-time, on-site position.What we're looking forProven experience as a Pump Technician or Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianStrong hands-on experience with pump revisions and fault findingAbility to work independently and in a structured wayExperience in chemical or process industry environments(pharma, petrochemical, or nuclear experience is also relevant)Strong safety awareness, including:Chemical PPEWorking at heightRigging / attaching loadsFamiliarity with site procedures such as MoC and HAZOP is a plusLanguageDutch is a strong advantageEnglish is acceptable for technically strong candidates
