Oliver James is partnering with a major organisation in the Life Sciences sector that is entering the next phase of its internal AI transformation. We are seeking an AI Integration Engineer / AI Expert to support the scaling of enterprise AI initiatives, strengthen governance structures, and drive hands-on implementation across the business.This role sits within Corporate IT and focuses exclusively on internal AI enablement, covering workflow optimisation, automation, collaboration tools, and knowledge management.Role OverviewThe organisation has completed a series of decentralised AI pilots and is now transitioning toward a unified and secure enterprise operating model. As part of this shift, you will play a central role in defining best practices, integrating AI tools, and improving adoption across departments.The role combines 60% hands-on implementation and 40% strategic contribution.Key ResponsibilitiesAI Governance & Operating ModelReview and refine the organisation's existing AI governance framework.Strengthen ownership, accountability, and approval processes aligned with regulated-industry expectations.Support secure and compliant AI usage across the enterprise.Hands-on Integration & ImplementationConfigure, integrate, and operationalise AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and internal LLM-based assistants.Develop and support multi-agent conversational bots, unified bot identities, and knowledge-retrieval workflows (RAG).Build automation and orchestration workflows using "any-to-any" platforms.Provide technical support around configuration, scalability, and risk assessment.Roadmap Execution & EnablementContribute to the execution of the 2026 internal AI roadmap.Drive internal initiatives such as the AI Knowledge Base, AI Champions Program, and role-specific training content.Help evaluate new tools and manage an evolving backlog of business requests.Change Management & AdoptionSupport training, documentation, and safe-use guidance tailored to different roles.Develop adoption metrics and ensure consistent usage across teams.Engage cross-functional stakeholders to embed AI into day-to-day operations.Candidate ProfileRequiredHands-on experience integrating and implementing AI tools in cloud-first environments.Strong understanding of AI automation patterns, APIs, and enterprise security.Ability to translate business needs into practical AI-enabled workflows.Experience supporting or scaling governance in organisations with regulated or quality-driven processes.Strong communication and documentation skills, particularly in English.PreferredFamiliarity with identity and access management frameworks (e.g., Entra ID).Experience with multi-LLM environments or orchestration tools.Background in Life Sciences, Pharma, or other highly regulated sectors.
