Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer (Azure) OUTSIDE IR35OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate a scalable, multi-region Azure cloud platform. This role focuses on cloud platform engineering, DevSecOps practices, automation, and operational excellence.Key RequirementsDeep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including compute, networking, security, and data servicesStrong experience designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones using the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)Proven experience migrating on-prem workloads to Azure (rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring)Extensive experience with AKS, Docker, and container orchestrationStrong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, PowerShell; Bash/Packer desirable)Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML with integrated security toolingRole & ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate secure, highly available, multi-region Azure platformsChampion DevSecOps practices and secure-by-design principlesLead and support cloud migration and platform modernisation initiativesBuild and maintain reusable IaC modules, automation, and deployment pipelinesImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and cost-optimisation strategiesSupport platform operations, incident management, SLAs, and scheduled maintenanceCollaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and operations teamsContinuously improve platform reliability, security posture, and operational processesCreate and maintain operational, security, and runbook documentationMandatory SkillsAzure platform engineering and operations at scaleAzure Landing Zone (CAF) design and implementationTerraform-based IaC and scripting (PowerShell required)Kubernetes (AKS) administration and container securityCI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning (SAST, DAST, container scanning)Cloud security controls, monitoring, BCP, and disaster recoveryStrong understanding of Agile delivery and modern operations practicesWe are working exclusively with this organisation.
