One of its key headquarters is situated in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, further solidifying its position as a leading force in the realm of advanced data center solutions.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Facility Engineer in the Brussels area who, in close consultation with the Manager of Operations and Chief Engineer, will contribute to the maintenance of technical installations and infrastructure within the data centers.Responsibilities:Assisting in proper, timely, and in accordance with applicable processes and procedures, the execution of activities for the equipment in the concerned data center:Assist in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of planned maintenance, meeting all standards and procedures, by leveraging competent contractor/vendor resources with attention to quality.Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting all electrical and mechanical systems in the data center.Inform and brief the Chief Engineer on planned and corrective work occurring in the data center.In concert with the Chief Engineer:Supervise contractors carrying out work within the Data CentreBe responsible for ensuring that supervised work being done by contractors/vendors is logged in the systemsAssist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts.Work on 1-line equipment according to the Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule, including a roadmap approved by the Manager of Operations and/or the Nominated person in control of an electrical installation (Dutch: "Installatie-verantwoordelijke")During normal working hours, respond to alarms, critical situations, and emergencies promptly and appropriately. Be responsible for communicating in a calm and clear manner and in accordance with the emergency response planTake the initiative to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are raised for all equipment in the data center. This includes finding ways to deliver cost savings to the company without sacrificing qualityAdminister in a correct and timely manner all executed work in accordance with all processes and procedures:Administer work following the Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule.Inform the Manager of Operations of performed work and any noteworthy items.Report all incidents in accordance with procedures.Qualifications:3 or more years of relevant work experience in data centers or other critical environments.In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in the data center environment, including transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS & STS units, RPP units, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH unitsElectro-technical training/educationSafety for Operational Supervisors (Dutch: "Veiligheid gezondheid milieu Checklist Aannemers," Abbreviation: "VCA") is a big plusGood oral and written communication skills (in English, Dutch would be a plus).Proficient computer skills (MS Office)Strong administrative and cooperation skillsEligible to work in the Netherlands without the need for visa sponsorshipWhat We Offer:Full-time job, 40 hours per weekCompetitive salary based on experienceMobility budget or company car with private driving allowed; the car is assigned by DC People25 vacation daysPension plan Bonus for achieving 1,600 and 1,800 billable hours at €750 each timeOnly onsite working
