We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (10 years of experience) for a 14-month retail banking technology transformation project in Brussels. This hybrid role combines 50% on-site work with 50% homeworking from Belgium. The start date is as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clear, actionable and concise recommendations to the CIO within fixed timelines.
- Advise on legacy modernization, application rationalization and cross-border collaboration projects.
- Analyse complex technical issues and identify the core strategic questions for executive management.
- Bridge technology and strategy to support decisions that deliver business value.
- Assemble and lead ad hoc, cross-functional expert groups.
- Drive rapid alignment and produce concrete deliverables for strategic IT topics.
- Write and present structured recommendations, executive memos and PowerPoint presentations for the CIO.
Must-Have Requirements
- You have a strong background in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, IT Analysis, Tech Lead activities or a similar technical area.
- You have experience in IT Strategy Consulting, an internal Strategy Office, or a Chief of Staff or Advisor role within a large IT organisation.
- You have strong knowledge of Cloud computing.
- You have strong knowledge of API-led connectivity.
- You have strong knowledge of Core Banking modernization.
- You have strong knowledge of agentic AI.
- You have strong knowledge of Data architectures.
- You have strong knowledge of DevSecOps.
- You have strong knowledge of AI-driven cyber threats.
- You have excellent PowerPoint and memo-writing skills.
- English proficiency.
- You have sound knowledge of Dutch ORFrench.
