General Ledger Accountant / Comptable (Ref: YC47046 ) A leading manufacturer in Brussels is looking for a GL Accountant / A-Z Accountant to join their team.In this role, you will be responsible for all accounting operations, from daily accounting to monthly and annual financial statements.The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of accounting experience.--------------------------------------WORK TYPE: office-basedVISA SUPPORT: No--------------------------------------TYPE: Permanent, full-timeWORKING HOURS: 38 hours (Monday – Thursday 8:15am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 1:15pm)SALARY: €53k-€63k, depending on experienceSTART: ASAPLOCATION: Brussels (near Schaerbeek), BelgiumGL Accountant ComptableMain Responsibilities:Daily accounting work● Journal entry● Invoice issuing● Accounts receivable/accounts payable management● Expense settlement● Bank deposit/withdrawal management/funding confirmation● Petty cash managementMonthly/quarterly operations● Monthly closing● Adjusting account balances● Financial analysis and reporting (for management)● Manage tax categoriesAnnual settlement/tax operations● Annual financial statement preparation● Fixed asset management/depreciation calculationOther● Creating a cash flow statementGL Accountant Ideal Candidate:● At least 5 years of accounting experience● Experience in monthly/annual closing operations● Business level fluency in both French and English● Flexibility to handle a wide range of tasks in a small organization● Ability to work independently● Work experience at overseas bases/foreign-affiliated companies● Experience in assisting with consolidated financial statements● Experience in budget management/cash flow management● Japanese language skill would be advantageous● Experience in Budget management● Experience in Contract/document management, and Internal regulations/rules management as well as Concurrent duties in general affairs and general affairs** All applicants for the GL Accountant must have the right to work in the country as the Company is not able to offer visa support.If your application is successful, you will be contacted within two business days.
