The Mechelen site is part of our European division and specializes in the production of snack packaging. Our office is located right in the heart of the production environment, where production, engineering, logistics, quality, and supporting services all come together to deliver reliable and innovative solutions to our customers every single day. 

Your role 

As a Digital Process Excellence Engineer, you are the driving force behind the digital transformation of our Mechelen site. You translate shop floor needs into scalable digital solutions such as dashboards, RPA or low-code applications, contributing to greater efficiency, improved quality, and higher reliability in our production processes. 

In short: you help make our production future proof by combining digital tools and process improvements with collaboration and training. 

What will you do? 

In this role, you translate operational needs into concrete digital solutions and support colleagues in embedding improvements sustainably.  

Your responsibilities include: 

• Identifying opportunities for process optimization through data analysis and collaboration with different departments 

• Designing and implementing digital solutions that standardize and simplify processes 

• Training and coaching colleagues in the use of new digital tools 

• Monitoring and reporting results through KPIs such as OEE, scrap, and lead time 

• Translating trends in digitalization and Industry 4.0 into practical improvements for our site 

What do you bring? 

You combine a passion for digitalization with the drive to make processes smarter and more efficient. In addition, you bring: 

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in (industrial) engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent through experience 

• Experience with process optimization and digitalization in a production or industrial environment is a plus 

• Knowledge of lean, six sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies 

• Practical experience with digital tools such as Power BI, RPA, or low-code applications 

• Strong analytical and communication skills, with persuasiveness and change-oriented mindset 

• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
