Project Leader Ecosystem Development

As a Strategic Program & Ecosystem Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in connecting research excellence with industry needs, public funding opportunities and ecosystem partnerships.
Operating at the intersection of R&D, business development, strategy and communication, you will ensure that innovative technologies find their way towards impactful collaborations, successful projects and sustainable growth.

What you will do

You will be responsible for shaping and executing access, business development, and ecosystem engagement strategies within a portfolio of international innovation projects.
Working closely with researchers, business developers, strategic program managers and external partners, you will ensure alignment between project objectives, stakeholder expectations and long-term strategic goals.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Driving the development and execution of access, business and engagement strategies within international collaborative projects.
  • Coordinating interactions between imec's R&D, business and marketing organizations and external stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with technology partners, customers, funding authorities and ecosystem players.
  • Translating technological innovations into compelling value propositions for strategic partners and users.
  • Developing and executing communication, dissemination and ecosystem engagement plans.
  • Acting as the key interface between customers, business development teams and technical experts.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring the timely delivery of agreed objectives, reports and milestones.
  • Representing imec at consortium meetings, project reviews, industry conferences, trade fairs and ecosystem events.
  • Supporting strategic program managers in the deployment and execution of business and operational processes.
  • Contributing to the growth and visibility of imec's technology portfolios within the global semiconductor ecosystem.

What we are looking for

You are an excellent relationship builder who feels comfortable navigating between highly technical environments and business-oriented discussions.
You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality and thrive in multidisciplinary and international environments.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Sciences or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a comparable high-tech environment.
  • Experience in business development, product marketing, strategy, ecosystem management or a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of advanced semiconductor technologies and innovation ecosystems.
  • Experience working within collaborative projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align diverse interests.
  • An analytical mindset combined with a pragmatic approach to execution.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and a strong sense of ownership.
  • The ability to maintain a helicopter view while also diving into technical details when needed.
