Represent site process in R&D projects. Manage smaller projects andcoordinate external engineering support (within the process engineering area)Job content:â€
¢ Process engineering support for projects, improvements and modifications (conceptevaluation, pre-study including process calculations, basic engineering, endevaluation).â€
¢ Work activities include process studies, safety studies (HAZOP’s), unit operationsprocess simulations, mass and heat balance preparation, preparing equipmentdatasheets. Define process safety boundaries (production envelope).â€
¢ Monitor and support all production operations for the site, focused on processoptimization and control, to improve OEE & yield performance, detect bottlenecks,support process safety. Provide technical process know-how to site operations.â€
¢ Lead for process safety documentation (e.g. bowties, demonstration of safeoperation,...)â€
¢ Plant troubleshooting jointly with operations (make & maintenance). Coordinate withOperations department to provide necessary support for project and modificationsactivities .â€
¢ Utilities – trouble shooting, modifications, calculations and optimization (includingEnergy savings).â€
¢ Project Management : All project phases
- concept evaluation/feasibility study , pre-study , basic engineering, budgeting & cross department follow-up and plantcommissioning. Oversees costs of own area of responsibility and coordination withEngineering managerProfileâ€
¢ Minimum Masters in Chemical Engineering (or similar).â€
¢ Minimum 5 years of experience in the process industry.â€
¢ Knowledge of unit operations, chemical processes, chemical hazards, (process)safety and general understanding of SHE, problem solving techniques.â€
