What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and developing robust AI and Data Science solutions tailored to operational and tactical needs.
• Building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning pipelines, with a focus on on-premise and cloud environments.
• Driving the end-to-end lifecycle of AI models, from prototyping to production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Implementing best practices in programming, machine learning, and MLOps within all projects.
• Conducting continuous technology watch to stay ahead of the latest trends in MLOps, machine learning, and AI deployment.
• Ensuring all solutions adhere to the highest standards of security, ethics, and legal compliance.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.
• Championing code quality, model robustness, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in data science, MLOps, and machine learning, ideally with large-scale deployments.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI solutions both on-premise and in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Engineer and maintain ML pipelines using tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow, and SageMaker.
• Implement CI/CD processes for ML models and code.
• Work with large, structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring optimal data storage and retrieval (data lakes, warehouses, S3).
• Design system architectures that balance scalability, robustness, and hardware constraints.
• Utilize containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient deployment.
• Ensure compliance with security, ethical, and legal standards in all AI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create solutions and foster a positive, productive environment.

Technical Skills

• Programming: Python (R is a plus)
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Milvus
• AI Frameworks: huggingface, mlflow, PyTorch, TensorFlow, sklearn, OpenCV, vllm
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow
• Software Engineering: uv, ruff, black
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS
• Version Control: MlFlow, Git, GitHub, GitLab

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in either Dutch (NL) or French (FR) is mandatory.

Other Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to federate and align diverse teams toward common objectives.
• Strong sense of priorities and ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
• Clear, spontaneous communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with Agile or similar project frameworks is a plus.
• Partial remote work is possible; presence in Belgium required for key phases.
