Senior .NET Developer – Technical Analyst / Software Architect | Ghent, Belgium
We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer with strong technical analysis and software architecture skills to support the development and modernisation of business-critical applications within the healthcare sector.
You will play a key role in designing scalable, secure and reliable software solutions, developing core applications and integrating systems to support business operations, including billing and administrative processes.
Location: Ghent, Belgium
Work Model: Hybrid
Duration: As soon as possible until 28 August 2029
Commitment: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical analyses of existing and new IT applications.
- Design, develop and maintain robust, future-proof software architectures.
- Develop and maintain back-office and core applications, particularly for billing and administrative processes.
- Integrate new and existing systems within the application landscape.
- Support integrations with external platforms, including payment and data exchange systems.
- Translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
- Support application, domain and infrastructure migrations.
- Improve application performance, security, scalability and reliability.
- Contribute to project management activities.
- Coach and support developers and other IT professionals.
- Act as a technical reference point for the team and organisation.
Required Technical Skills
- Programming: C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, VB.NET and Visual Basic.
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework.
- DevOps: Azure DevOps.
- Architecture & Integration: Software architecture, system integration and scalable application design.
- Additional Technologies: Akka.NET, RabbitMQ and TCP/IP.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience as a Senior .NET Developer.
- Solid expertise in technical analysis and software architecture.
- Experience designing and integrating business-critical applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A coaching mindset with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's-level education or equivalent thinking level.
- Experience in or affinity with the healthcare sector is a strong advantage.
Languages
- Dutch: Native or bilingual proficiency.
- English: Very good proficiency.
- French: Good proficiency.
Additional Experience of Interest
Experience with the following would be particularly valuable:
- Doccle integrations, including payments and digital document storage.
- Peppol integrations.
- Back-office billing application development.
- Employee self-service platforms for time registration and personnel administration.
