About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking two elite Senior Project Managers to lead transformative IT projects for our client in Antwerp. Why This Role Matters

Our client manages the lifecycle of over 1,000 buildings, serving the city, police, and public organizations. As Antwerp evolves, robust IT solutions are essential to support growth, compliance, and operational excellence. Your leadership will ensure the seamless rollout of NIS2 and AI governance projects, optimizing business processes and safeguarding digital infrastructure. The stakes are high: your work will directly impact the city’s resilience, efficiency, and future-readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate multiple IT projects (with a focus on NIS2 and AI governance) from inception to completion, maintaining full oversight across all project phases.
• Ensure project objectives are achieved within defined timelines and budgets, proactively managing risks and issues.
• Act as the primary liaison with IT project managers at partner organizations to guarantee seamless integration and implementation of IT solutions.
• Facilitate regular consultations with internal and external stakeholders, aligning all parties towards shared goals.
• Deliver clear, actionable progress reports to diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Serve as a substantive sparring partner and mentor for junior project managers, providing content-driven support and guidance.
• Contribute actively to the internal operations of the IT team, championing continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure or development projects (Senior level).
• Proven track record managing compliance projects within IT environments.
• Extensive experience with IT project management in the public sector.
• Strong background in the development and optimization of business processes (BPM).
• Expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to align diverse interests and drive consensus.
• Deep familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK), preferably supported by certification.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools and techniques, including risk and issue management.
• Solid knowledge of MS Project and MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Working knowledge and experience with ITIL best practices.
• Experience with AI governance and NIS2 compliance is highly desirable.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is mandatory.

• Ability to start on 21/09.
