As a DevOps Integration Engineer, you will work within our logistics and aviation domain, covering a variety of capabilities related to the airline and road transportation industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration services and supporting framework components, with a strong focus on MuleSoft, Java, and modern DevOps practices.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft Integration Services using Mule 4
  • Design, develop, and maintain framework components and services using Java and Mule Runtime
  • Develop robust event-based integrations and APIs
  • Apply test-driven development (TDD) principles and implement automated testing
  • Work with internal and external service endpoints using different integration protocols
  • Contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration services
  • Translate business requirements into solid technical integration solutions
  • Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders in an international and multicultural environment

 

Your profile:

We are looking for someone with a strong technical integration background who can work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Must-have experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working on integration projects
  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft / Mule 4
  • Excellent knowledge of:
    • Mule connectors
    • Mule Runtime Engine
    • Mule transaction management
    • Integration with internal and external service endpoints
  • Strong experience with event-based integration
  • Good knowledge of API development
  • Good knowledge of integration protocols such as SFTP, REST, SOAP, HTTP, JMS, and Queueing
  • Good knowledge of interface languages and specifications such as XML, RAML, and WSDL
  • Good knowledge of Java
  • Experience with build, version-control, and CI tooling, including Maven, Nexus, Git, Bamboo, and Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions such as the ELK Stack
  • Strong working knowledge of Anypoint Platform, including API Manager and Runtime Manager
  • Good understanding of integration architecture patterns and concepts
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Spring
  • Knowledge of Mule Runtime Fabric

 

Languages

  • English: Fluent, both written and spoken
  • Dutch: An asset
