About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Security Project Manager (Freelance, 12 months) to join our client’s mission-critical team in Brussels. What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and deliver complex IT security projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
• Drive Agile project management practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within multidisciplinary teams.
• Coach, mentor, and empower technical teams, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions.
• Implement and oversee security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ZeroTrust), ensuring robust risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize industry-standard methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, SCRUM) to optimize project delivery and resource allocation.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of security operations, leveraging expertise in EDR, SIEM, PKI, and related technologies where applicable.
• Champion a builder-first mindset, taking full ownership of outcomes and driving innovation in every phase of the project.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of confirmed experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on security and transformation initiatives.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and coaching high-performing teams.
• Proven experience with ISO 27001:2005, NIST, ZeroTrust frameworks.
• Confirmed proficiency in PMBOK, PRINCE2, and SCRUM project management standards.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, PKI, Android, Linux, and Microsoft Windows is a plus.

Language Proficiency

• Fluent in Dutch or French, with a strong working knowledge of the other national language (Dutch or French).
• Good command of English.

Other Requirements

• Belgian nationality is mandatory.
• In possession of a "top secret" security clearance, or willing to obtain one.
• All services must be performed onsite at our client’s secure location in Brussels; remote work is not possible.
