Data Migration & Integration Developer
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Experience: 8–10 years
Work Model: Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Migration & Integration Developer to support large-scale transformation programs, with a strong focus on data migration, system integration, data mapping, and validation.
Key Responsibilities
Data Migration
- Define and execute end-to-end data migration strategies.
- Lead data assessment, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Develop migration plans, runbooks, and cutover strategies.
- Support the migration of customer, account, transaction, product, and reference data.
- Manage mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and production migration activities.
IT Integration
- Coordinate integration activities across multiple applications and platforms.
- Define system interfaces and integration requirements.
- Ensure effective integration between source systems, target applications, middleware, APIs, and external partners.
- Work with Enterprise Architects and Technical Leads to establish integration patterns and dependencies.
- Manage end-to-end integration testing and defect resolution.
Data Analysis & Mapping
- Perform source-to-target data mapping.
- Analyse legacy data structures and identify migration impacts.
- Define transformation and business validation rules.
- Develop reconciliation and data quality reports.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business users.
- Conduct workshops for migration requirements and data mapping.
- Provide status reporting, risk assessments, and governance updates.
- Coordinate with external vendors and third-party application providers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with large-scale enterprise data migration projects.

- Data Reconciliation
- Data Validation
- Cutover Planning
- Experience migrating data between legacy and modern platforms.
- Strong integration experience, including:
- API Integration
- Microservices Architecture
- Middleware Platforms
- ETL Processes
- Data Synchronization
- System Interface Design
- Strong SQL and database querying skills.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, IBM DataStage, SSIS, or Ab Initio.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
