Senior Business & Project Analyst – AI & Automation
Location: Brussels
Start: ASAP
Duration: 1 year
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business & Project Analyst to support the digital transformation of a major organisation in the energy and critical-infrastructure sector.
In this role, you will act as a key link between business teams and IT, helping identify opportunities to use AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, simplify complex processes and support the organisation's long-term digital strategy.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and project teams to turn business needs into practical solutions and help drive the implementation of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities where AI, automation and new technologies can improve business processes and operational efficiency.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs, define expectations and translate them into clear requirements.
- Analyse and assess the business value and feasibility of AI and automation use cases.
- Apply knowledge of AI and automation within a regulated, complex operational environment.
- Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders and implementation/IT teams.
- Coordinate the implementation of technology initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and help business teams use new tools effectively.
- Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing on the practical use of AI and automation.
- Contribute to project planning, coordination and delivery from initial concept through implementation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help translate emerging technologies into practical business solutions.
Requirements
- 14+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, Business/IT Consultant or similar role.
- Proven experience implementing or applying AI solutions within large organisations.
- Experience working in a regulated or complex operational environment is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, automation and their practical business applications.
- Strong project management and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical solutions.
- Master's degree in engineering, science, commercial engineering or a comparable discipline.
- Excellent command of English and excellent Dutch and/or French.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and drive initiatives towards implementation.
- Strong customer focus, adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
