What will you do?
Shape Operational Excellence at bnode
Operational Excellence is a strategic priority for bnode. To strengthen our operations, we are looking for an experienced leader to develop and embed a strong continuous improvement culture across our organisation.
Reporting into senior Operations leadership, you will define and drive our Operational Excellence roadmap across our Belgian operations. This is a highly visible role for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is equally comfortable on the operational floor and engaging with executive leadership.
What will you do?
- Define and drive the Operational Excellence roadmap across our operations.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement programmes with measurable impact on productivity, quality, service and cost.
- Identify improvement opportunities through operational analysis, Value Stream Mapping and direct engagement with our sites.
- Build and develop Operational Excellence capabilities, coaching teams and operational leaders.
- Drive standardisation, simplification and best-practice sharing across operations.
- Establish KPIs and governance to measure progress and ensure sustainable improvements.
- Translate operational challenges into clear recommendations and business cases for senior management.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure improvements are implemented successfully in the field.
Who are you?
What do you bring?
- Around 10–15 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean or operational transformation.
- A strong track record within manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, automotive or another complex production environment.
- Deep practical knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, DMAIC and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or comparable Operational Excellence certification is a strong advantage, although proven delivery and impact are more important than certification alone.
- Experience leading significant operational transformation programmes and delivering measurable results.
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
- The credibility and communication skills to work effectively from frontline operations through to executive management.
- Fluent Dutch and French, with a good command of English.
Your working environment
The role is based in Belgium and involves significant presence across our operational network. You should expect to spend approximately 40–60% of your time visiting operational sites, with flexibility to occasionally work during early, late or night operations.
This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on how bnode operates and to help build an Operational Excellence approach that delivers sustainable results across the organisation.
