As a Telecom Domain Administrator, you will:
- Translate detailed designs into machine configs according to known config templates and guidelines.
- After validation, configure and deploy the network equipment. Independently making appointments with both external and internal employees to carry out on-site implementations or troubleshooting as efficiently as possible.
- Documenting the networks and maintaining the monitoring tools.
- Proactively help maintain the network using the available loggings and monitoring tools
- Be available in a waiting regime of 1 in 5 (1 week of waiting every 5 weeks. Being on call means that you are reachable and available 24/7 to be able to carry out the necessary analyses / assistance in the event of an intervention. You have to count on 3 interventions of +- 4 hours on 1 watch.
- Some interventions may take place in exclusive Electricity or Gas spaces which are subject to the AREI. Client expects the external employees to be in order or to be able to comply with all applicable safety regulations in this area. The employee must have the necessary personal protective equipment (e.g. safety helmet, safety shoes, fire-retardant clothing, etc.). In addition, the employee must also be in order with the applicable BA4/BA5 competence areas as provided for in the AREI.
Context
As a Domain Manager telecom:
- You are the point of contact for the customer for the operational follow-up of the project
- You check the quality and look for solutions if necessary
- You provide technical advice on requests and connections from customers
- You take care of the technical installations
- You ensure correct administration by keeping the database up to date- you are responsible for configuring and documenting the active equipment (Cisco routers, Cisco Switches)
- You are responsible for configuring VRFs with associated routing and interfaces on the active equipment (Cisco routers and Cisco switches)
- You offer telephone and on-site assistance for problems and configuration changes, problems routing and switching
- You will be responsible for the maintenance and management of malfunctions and planned works and you will be responsible for keeping ACLs up-to-date, pro-active network management on the basis of logging
- you will be responsible for translating detailed designs of Client networks into machine config according to known templates
