About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Technical IT Project Manager / Enterprise Architect for a high-impact, freelance assignment with our client in Brussels. This is a unique opportunity to architect and lead the foundational phase of a major automation transformation, shaping the future of an entire application landscape. This role is pivotal in laying the groundwork: you will design the execution roadmap, ensure robust governance, and integrate security and business continuity at every step. What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and deliver a comprehensive, actionable project plan for the 2027 automation execution, including milestones, resource allocation, risk matrices, and governance structures.
• Conduct a deep-dive inventory of critical inter-application dependencies, integration points, and deployment order requirements across the application ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and disaster recovery teams to ensure automation pipelines support zero-downtime and meet robust Business Continuity Management (BCM) standards.
• Engage with CISO and compliance stakeholders to embed automated security checks (DevSecOps, NIS2 alignment, GDPR, access governance) into deployment design.
• Author and present a clear financial and operational business case (CapEx/OpEx, ROI, efficiency gains, risk reduction) to executive stakeholders.
• Facilitate the development of an architectural framework that supports seamless automation and future scalability.
• Define guidelines and governance processes to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a builder-first culture, driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect at an expert level, with a strong track record in large-scale transformation projects.
• Demonstrated ownership and leadership in developing architectural frameworks and actionable project roadmaps.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and data centre environments.
• Hands-on experience with deployment automation tools (Github, TFS, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001) and integration of security standards (DevSecOps, GDPR, access governance).
• Proven ability to manage multilevel stakeholder relationships, including executive, technical, and compliance audiences.
• Experience defining and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery standards (BCP/DR).
• Broad ICT knowledge and the ability to define governance processes that drive operational excellence.
• Builder mindset: proactive, outcome-driven, and passionate about delivering impact at scale.

Technical Skills & Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Mandatory)
• Proven experience with frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate
• Expertise in CI/CD, deployment automation (Github, TFS, Jenkins), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong exposure to enterprise business continuity standards (BCP/DR)
• Experience with compliance frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001)
• Broad ICT knowledge and experience defining guidelines and governance processes

Language Proficiency

• Fluent in English (Mandatory)
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with at least passive knowledge (B1 minimum) of the other national language (Mandatory)
