Regional Head of Construction, Continental Europe
Role Context:
This role exists to drive strategic alignment, cultural transformation, and organizational excellence for delivering our Projects. It plays a critical part in cultivating commitment to change—especially when bold shifts are needed to realize Worley’s vision. By setting clear goals and ensuring synergy between people, processes, and tools, the role enables flawless execution of Projects.
It also focuses on building a competitively superior organization by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent—ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time to meet evolving business needs.
The Regional Head of Construction is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations across multiple projects and locations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role is to drive operational excellence, fosters strong client relationships, and leads a high-performing execution team of construction professionals across the region
You'll be:
· Representing the business and the function at regional customer level and engage with internal and external stakeholders in championing and delivering change and Project Delivery.
· Translating global organizational goals into actionable deliverable is essential for driving consistency and standardisation throughout the business via the regional networks
· Leading the Major Projects & regional functions of construction capability based in a major location. Direct project leads to achieve exceptional results— drive a Right to Left approach from Sales and proposals, oversee all aspects of construction requirements from strategic conception through execution strategy and ultimate execution and handover. projects completed precisely, on time, and within budget
· Extending your influence beyond local boundaries, shaping the direction and initiatives of the business. As an operational leader, implement visionary strategies in a specialized field, collaborating with diverse functions to impact Worley's broader strategies. Create a dedicated network of communication and accountability with autonomy and a high degree of influence, craft the future for the next 1-3 years, aligning with Worley's commitment to excellence and sustainable change
· Operate with broad management authority, receiving minimal technical guidance and control, limited only by project objectives and organization policies.
· Review work to ensure project direction aligns with client standards.
· Direct and indirect reports with authority for performance evaluations impacting pay. Make decisions regarding the selection, training, discipline, and remuneration of staff. Assign policy framework, long-term mission, and vision. Provide administrative direction to subordinate supervision
· Be the operational and functional conduit and where relevant, the SME for the required systems, tools and process of Construction. Drive adoption and deployment across the business in a consistent and standard manner. You’ll have:
· A University Degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience is foundational.
· Extensive experience, underscoring a wealth of expertise in end-to-end delivery of major construction projects. This extensive experience should demonstrate a proven track record of overseeing and successfully delivering Major complex projects on time and within budget across regional locations
· Previously supported and overseen the implementation of strategic programs and policies for the function, which will have a broad impact on the overall organization and the delivery of Major Projects and Programs.
· Worked directly with regional management on influencing the organization’s business results, including global and regional strategies. Core Competences:
