Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer What We Are Looking For We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will contribute to the design, evolution, automation, and optimization of complex network and data center environments supporting European Institutions. You will combine strong networking expertise with automation, cloud, security, and modern infrastructure technologies to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions. What you will do on a daily basis
• Design, evaluate, and improve network and infrastructure solutions;
• Perform technical studies, testing, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs);
• Support capacity planning, technical documentation, migrations, and deployments;
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements;
• Support network automation and automated deployment initiatives;
• Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and users;
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure network services. Your Key Skills
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work with complex network and infrastructure environments;
• Strong focus on reliability, performance, and security;
• Good communication and collaboration skills;
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving technologies and technical environments;
• Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams. Your Main Qualifications
• Strong experience with networking, telecommunications, and data center technologies;
• Solid knowledge of routing, VPNs, SD-WAN, DNS/DHCP, campus, data center, and wireless networks;
• Experience with network automation technologies such as Ansible, Python, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code;
• Knowledge of cloud and container technologies such as Azure, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Good understanding of network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, web security, and load balancing;
• Experience with network monitoring, logging, and management tools;
• Experience with automated network deployments, such as Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and PXE, is an advantage;
• Relevant networking or vendor certifications are considered an advantage;
• Based in Brussels;
• EU Citizenship.
