Company Description NABU (Ghent, Belgium) builds agentic AI for Know Your Customer compliance. Our platform automates up to 90% of KYC/AML onboarding and monitoring for private equity and venture capital funds, financial institutions and payment providers. Compliance teams onboard and continuously monitor clients and investors in minutes instead of weeks. That means higher-quality KYC, fewer false positives and clearer risk insights, ahead of the EU's new AML rulebook Role Description As Business Development Manager, you drive NABU's growth in Belgium. You own the full sales cycle, from first contact to signed contract, and report to the CRO. The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Ghent, with flexibility to work partly from home. What you will do:
• Identify, qualify and close new business with PE/VC funds, leasing companies, financial institutions and payment providers.
• Run outbound and inbound sales: prospecting, discovery calls, tailored product demos, proposals and contract negotiation.
• Work closely with our partner network (advisory firms, data providers and industry federations) to generate and co-sell opportunities.
• Translate client and market feedback into input for marketing and product, helping to sharpen our value proposition.
• Keep the CRM and pipeline up to date and report on sales performance and forecasts.
• Represent NABU at events, round tables and on LinkedIn, building visibility in the compliance community.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as new segments and markets as NABU scales. Qualifications
• 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales or account management in B2B software, fintech or compliance solutions.
• A proven track record in prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management and closing deals.
• The ability to explain complex KYC, compliance and risk concepts clearly to compliance officers, executives and technical stakeholders.
• A consultative sales approach, with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• An analytical mindset: you use pipeline data, market trends and customer feedback to decide where to focus.
• Fluency in Dutch and English. French is a strong plus.
• Self-management and collaboration skills that thrive in a hybrid, early-stage team.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
