About EMDYN:
Seeing clearly, when it matters most.
EMDYN fuses satellite imagery, signals and open-source data into a single picture an analyst can act on in minutes, not days. Our platform, Phalanx, is built for sovereignty: it gives defence and critical infrastructure organisations clear answers and full control of their data, with no dependence on any single vendor.
We are a growing team of engineers, data scientists and intelligence specialists working across Switzerland, Belgium, England and Portugal. Small enough that your ideas ship in weeks, not years. Serious enough that what you build genuinely matters.
If you want to work at the edge of geospatial technology, with people who care about getting it right, we want to meet you.
Role overview:
Tell the story of how the world sees clearly.
Around the world, governments and critical infrastructure operators want control over their most sensitive data and the decisions built on it. The race to define sovereign data intelligence is on, and the window to lead that category is open now. As VP of Marketing, you will make sure that when a defence ministry, security agency or critical infrastructure operator anywhere in the world thinks of trusted, sovereign data fusion, they think of EMDYN.
Reporting to our CCO, you will lead our global marketing function and team, own the marketing budget, and be accountable for building pipeline across all our markets. Working hand in hand with our sales and pre-sales teams, you will turn powerful technology into a clear, credible story, and turn that story into conversations that lead to deals. You will also shape how EMDYN speaks as a company, from product messaging to executive communications
What you will do:
• Set the global marketing strategy and lead, develop and inspire a high-performing marketing team.
• Own the marketing budget and report results to executive leadership, with a clear line from activity to pipeline and revenue.
• Shape and own the EMDYN brand and positioning globally, making sovereignty, clarity and trust unmistakably ours in every market we serve.
• Adapt our messaging and campaigns to different regions and buying cultures while keeping one unified EMDYN story.
• Lead product marketing for Phalanx, with messaging that resonates with both technical analysts and senior decision makers.
• Drive demand generation and account-based campaigns that help sales open doors in government, defence and critical infrastructure.
• Equip the sales and pre-sales teams with the materials, insight and arguments they need to win.
• Own corporate communications, including press releases, media relations and storytelling across all channels.
• Advise our executives on strategic communications and support corporate, investor and analyst communications.
• Lead our presence at major defence and security events worldwide, from international exhibitions to closed-door briefings. What you bring: You have built brands and pipeline in markets where buyers are cautious, sales cycles are long and credibility is earned. You lead teams with clarity, move comfortably between strategy and execution, and measure your success by the business you help win.
• 12 or more years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams in the geospatial or space sector, for example Earth observation, satellite data and analytics, GIS, positioning and navigation, or satellite communications.
• A proven record of building pipeline and driving revenue in partnership with sales and pre-sales teams, ideally in government, defence and space programmes, or with system integrators.
• Strong experience across product marketing, demand generation, brand management and corporate communications, including press releases and advising senior executives.
• Experience owning a marketing budget and reporting performance to executive leadership.
• A degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent business English. Desirable:
• Experience marketing across multiple regions, such as Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific or the Americas.
• An MBA or a professional marketing qualification such as CIM.
• Experience marketing technical or complex solutions sold through consultative sales cycles.
• Hands-on knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo.
• Experience supporting investor or analyst communications.
• Additional languages.
• Eligibility for, or willingness to obtain, relevant security clearances. Why join EMDYN?
• Category building: you will help define how the world thinks about sovereign data intelligence.
• Visible impact: your work will directly shape our growth and reputation.
• Leadership: you will build and lead the team that tells our story.
• Mission: you will represent technology that helps protect nations and critical infrastructure.
• Pace: a scale-up where good ideas move from concept to market quickly. If you want to build a brand that genuinely matters, alongside people who care about getting it right, we want to meet you.
