About the role
We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated HR professional to join SolarPower Europe's team as an HR Manager.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and shape HR operations and strategy for a team of 60 staff members in an impactful, mission-driven organisation. The HR Manager will be responsible for all soft HR operations and strategy, covering the full employee lifecycle, employee relations, performance management, HR policy development and compliance, and learning and development. Job responsibilities Reporting to the COO, the HR Manager will lead all soft HR operations and strategy for the organisation’s 60 staff members.

Key responsibilities
include:
• Driving the development of the organisation’s HR strategy by bringing forward ideas and recommendations to the COO and Leadership Team, and coordinating its implementation
• Nurturing a positive and productive working environment by promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being.
• Managing the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and offboarding.
• Supporting performance management across the organisation, including goal-setting, appraisal processes, feedback, development planning and support for managers.
• Developing and implementing the learning and development strategy, identifying training needs and delivering programmes that strengthen individual, team and leadership capabilities.
• Developing, implementing and regularly reviewing HR policies, procedures, the employee handbook and salary frameworks, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with HR best practice.
• Leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace.
• Ensuring compliance with Belgian labour laws, keeping the organisation informed about legislative changes.
• Leading employee relations, advising staff and managers on HR matters, addressing questions, grievances and workplace issues, and fostering effective communication between leadership and staff.
• Closely cooperating with the Finance & Admin team on payroll processing, benefits administration, SD Worx, and other operational HR tasks.
• Other HR related tasks as required. Profile The ideal candidate has the following professional profile:
• 8+ years of proven working experience in general HR management, ideally in a non-profit association.
• A strategic mindset with experience designing and implementing HR strategies that align with organisational goals.
• People-oriented and results-driven.
• Experience with running training programmes.
• Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
• Excellent active listening, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field. Our offer
